Loved your report – HUGE congrats to you!!! What a fantastic race on a hot, hot day. I watched the coverage online and indeed – that run course looked like a maze of epic proportions!!! See you again soon in NOLA for more hot, wind and flat! :)

I’m with you , Sonja, on the water stops. I’ve been known to literally lay a hand on people and push them out of the way. I’m not wasting precious time walking through a water stop.

Nice race report — glad you had a good time! I didn’t race this year, but I did volunteer, since this race is in my backyard and I got to work the pro rack. The run course was totally whack! It was a maze for the runners; just to cross it as a spectator was like that old school video game “Frogger!” I don’t think you’re moaning about the aid stations at all — it’s a reality. If I were as fast as those like you, I’d get annoyed too. I’m, just glad the pros and elites are done by the time I’m back on the bike — Then I can’t get in anyone’s way! LOL

Oh, and you made me snort my coffee with your “Freak” story! LOL

  11. Sounds like an incredible weekend!! It was fun following both of you online here in Maine :)
