Holy crap, I was getting irrate for you reading about Ms. Blocker. ARGH. Kudos to you for staying in control & staying on your bike while nailing a cone!!

  2. Erin says:

Holy moly, well done on the bike! Way to keep your cool despite the cone incident, the Azule/blocking lady, and teal speedo dude. Geez oh pete. How crazy! Had you seen Troy yet at any point on the ride?

  3. Beth says:

I think my HR was 172 reading that!!!! Holy smokes. Way to keep your head on straight and still have an amazing bike! Perhaps you’ll meet up with your lady friend again in Hawaii…although it might be hard to find her anywhere else than the penalty tent!!!!! :)

Katie..I would say at the point I hit the cone, I had pretty much lost control :)

Erin..I did not see Troy on the bike at all. I also didn’t see Jody, although he said he saw me. Troy didn’t see me on the bike either.

Bath…I’m sure she’s going to hate me if she ever reads this blog post!

    Cliffhanger.

Hurry up with the run report!

  6. Dee Morehouse Stever says:

Yea, hurry your next report along. I am serious about you printing this out. Will it be in Iron Man mag or something like that??? Speedo dude was a dud, huh? Do they drive on the wrong side there? Just saying

  7. Mom says:

I was thinking like Doris, maybe she was used to “riding” on the wrong side of the road… but then I saw your photo riding in Floripa and you were riding on the right… so… I’m guessing she was just blocking. I am waiting on the run report!
    Luv U!

WOW. Congrats on a great race – read all of the recaps and am amazed but have to say the best part was your re-enactment of the official’s gesture. What does that even mean!??!?! Congrats on an amazing day out there!!

  11. Thanks for the useful resource… it’s actually exactly what I was looking for!

  12. Anthony says:

Any chance they were yelling, “Look out for that cone!”?? :)

I’ve already decided this race is not for me. I wouldn’t have handled any of it as well as you did. well done!
