Great post, Troy! My husband wrote an entry on my blog to surprise me after IMFL and he says a lot of the same things. As the competing athlete, I would not make it across the finish line without the love and support of my family and my husband would not want to be anywhere else.

I was talking to an Olympic athlete this weekend and asked him how he’d achieved the level he had. Without hesitation he said, “I’m just a small part of this puzzle, never would have gotten here without my family.”
Nice to remember whenever you see a stud athlete crossing the line, that there’s always a team of people behind her.

Well written Troy. I think it is cool that Sonja asked you to write this piece. As someone who has had the pleasure of spending a great deal of time with the both of you, I can say you really are a great couple that inspires. Troy, in watching races with you and talking at length with you about this specific topic – I see how much the two of you are partners – not just one dragging the other.
