WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!
I just won the Ebay Charity bid for a slot in the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon! Yip Yip Yip!
It looks like I will be headed to San Francisco in June to throw myself off some crazy ferry next to Alcatraz, swim 1.5 miles to shore, run a mile, grab my bike and hoof it up and down 18 miles of hills, then toss the bike, grab the shoes and sail through 8 miles of sand stairs, TV appearances, and uber joyousness. Ahhh, yea baby!
You all know how disapointed I was to not get into this race via the lottery. Andrea (Steve’s wife) told me about the auction and family friends and loved ones have come out of the wood works to help me afford to go to this race. I love you all and I can’t wait!

This looks really awesome! I wish I was around to see the event, but I’ll be out of town. Today I rode around in SF and over to Sausilito and Tiberon and then took the fairy back across the bay. Super cool, you’ll have so much fun.
