Wow, what a great race, and congrats on the PR and sub 5 goal. You really RACE, too. I will have to rethink how I approach things. I mean, I am pedal to the metal the whole way in a sprint, but in a half?? How is that possible? I would blow up!

I hope you figure out the problem of the clearwater password :-(

Camped right next to you, met Troy and Annie. Good race summary, great result for you! Chrissie is my favorite pro in any sport after she hung medals on age grouper’s necks when she could be relaxing after her win. Glad you enjoyed the midwest.

Sonja, you’re one bad ass racer and a fantastic inspiration. You should be so proud of the amazing day you had at KS 70.3 and your beautiful family. I was giddy to meet you and appreciate all of your advice and kind comments. I look forward to following all of your adventures and learning from you.

I WAS AT KANSAS TOO!! I actually camped right around the corner from you! Small world! You kicked some serious butt! Way to go!!
I was just happy to beat my time from Boise in 08! ha ha!!
Have you been able to get the slot/paper situation taken care of?

  19. Sonja says:

No way Amy! Right around the corner! Oh man, we should-a talked at least. Yes, I got the slot situation sorted out, and for what it’s worth the race director was awesome, prompt, and extremely helpful.

  20. Amy says:

EXCELLENT!! So happy to hear you got the Clearwater number figured out! What an accomplishment!!!
I realized after reading your post that the lady that took first in your age group also took first woman overall in our local fall half marathon (in Moab). Small world!
Anyway, continue kicking butt and I look forward to reading your blog. My next “big” race will be IMSG in May. Just to finish is the goal. : )
    What about you?
