About

Thumbs UpI am a Denver Mom who believes in the power of a positive mental attitude. My life’s journey has taken place outdoors. Thanks to a very supportive husband I can be found competing in triathlons and snowshoe races, summiting 14ers, ultrarunning, skiing, rock/ice climbing and training in many disciplines — all with my little girl Annie in tow. I hope this is a place you can find inspiration to seek out your own adventures, whatever they may be.

  3. Sonja,

I found your blog today and was very inspired. I am running my first 50 miler this weekend. The distance is the secondary goal though. I am using it as a fundraiser for a college scholarship I am offering to a graduating senior at the high school where I work. I have a blog where I have been writing about the training and making connections to the concepts of endurance and college. You can check out the details of the scholarship by going to http://endurancescholarship.blogspot.com/p/scholarship.html
~maybe it can inspire you in return.

    All the best,

  4. Oh, Sonja, it was such an honor to meet you this morning at Rev3 Knoxville. You are so gracious. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and the detail in which you write about your adventures in triathlon. I am learning alot from you.

Thank you also for your encouragement about my first full Ironman this coming August. I am so looking forward to Ironman Louisville on August 28th – it’s going to be fantastic.

Hope you do not mind, I bragged a little about you today on my blog: http://denny.gillen.me

  5. Hello Webmaster, I noticed that http://gosonja.com/?page_id=5652 is ranking pretty low for some keywords, this may be due to the new Google Panda update, or it could be due to a variety of other factors. I’m sure you already know about On-page SEO, where Google cares highly about proper formatting of various H1/H2/H3 tags, having your main keyword appear in the beginning of your post and having your post end with the keyword, along with having keyword related alt tags and very relevant LSI. However, you do not seem to have the proper Keywords or relevant Keywords in your posts and in the website. Right now you need a tool or plugin that will allow you to check on Keyword insights, search trends and check for backlink analysis and to find out your Keyword competition. To find a Keyword Plugin that combines both Keyword Research and has the ability as a Rank Checker is what WordPress Seo Keyword, please check out our 5 minute video.

  7. Dear Sonjia,
i’ve read your blog and admire you for you will. Your blog helped in many things as a triathlete. I’ve sent you again for my issue of peeing during the race. My problem is that the most of the times i can’t relax enough to pee in my pants. And after finally peeing my pants i feel a strange sensation during peeing myself. I don’t know if it sychology issue or is a feeling of my body:( Pls help me.. peeing during race is a great save of time!!! PLS dear sonjia give me some advises about relaxing to pee. If you want tell about what do you do in order to relax to pee. Do you feel the same with me when you pee yourself during race? what exactly do you feel?

    Andreas
