Sir Edmund Hillary Remembered

  "Just before he died in 1986, Norgay finally wrote the truth, that Hillary had in fact been first [to reach the summit], and Hillary substantiated that. But, he was quick to tell me, 'Believe me, to mountaineers, who's first is not important. We're a team'"    Sir Edmund Hillary, along with guide Tenzing Norgay were the first men to summit Mount Everest in 1953. Last week Sir Edmund Hillary passed away in New Zealand, his native land.
